Living Nigerian Football Legend, Jay Jay Okocha, Wife Renew Marriage Vow With 25th Wedding Anniversary

In a bid to further solidify his union and rejuvenate his marriage, former Nigerian international, Austin Jay Jay Okocha has renewed his wedding vows with his wife Nkechi. 

This was done at Maldives when the couple celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary over the weekend l.

The couple tied the knot in 1997. They have two children together, Ajay and Daniella. They have always seized every opportunity to flaunt their union on social media.

While celebrating the Nigerian football icon on the occasion of his 50th birthday in August, Nkechi described her husband special .

She wrote:

“My husband is just one. He would want him (the son) playing football but I don’t think there is anyone who can be my husband because he is just special.”

The couple decided to celebrate their joint 50th birthday and 25th wedding anniversary on October 21,  which is the same date with Nkechi’s birthday.

They also marked the day by renewing their vows in a special ceremony held in the Maldives. 

During the event, Nkechi wore a stunning white gown, while the former Bolton Wanderers star donned a white suit and black trousers.

Jay Jay Okocha, renowned as the best dribbler to play for the Super Eagles, had an illustrious career spanning over 18 years.

He played for prominent clubs such as Paris Saint Germain, Eintracht Frankfurt, Fenerbahce, Bolton Wanderers, and Hull City. Former Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez, considered one of the best strikers of his generation, named Okocha as his idol.
