Photos: Nigerian Falconets Sleep On Bare Floor, Chairs At Turkey Airport On Their Way Back Home

Nigerian under 20 women footballers have been pictured sleeping on bare floor, chairs and other things they could find at the Instanbul Airport in Turkey.

The ladies were knocked out of the under 20 women world cup on Monday morning by Netherlands. The Facolnets won all their group stage matches and marched to the quarter final of the competition with high level of confidence and assurance of advancing to the semi final by defeating the European football giant.

However, Netherlands denied them the ticket at the first 45 minutes of the game after conceding two goals through their lack of communication and organization at the defense.

Every attempt to respond to the goals appropriately and get back to the game prove abortive as the Dutch ladies curtailed them, coupled with the Falconets poor finishing touches.

Having got to the dead end of the tournament, they were billed to return to Nigeria. They were however stressed and worn out by the impact of the long flight they embarked on.

According to the photos shared on social media by the former Super Eagles media, Collins Udoh, the Falconets have been traveling since 6:30am on Monday from Costa Rica.

He disclosed that they are now in Istanbul on a 24-hour layover and sleeping on the airport chairs and floor, or wherever they can find.

Many Nigerians have however reacted to the development.
