I’m Privileged To Share Podium With Other Pres. Candidates Old Enough To Be My Fathers, Grandfathers-  ADC Presidential Candidate

Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Dumebi Kachikwu has expressed delight in sharing a podium with the other presidential candidates at the 2022 Nigerian Bar Association conference on Monday.

The Legal Profession which began its Annual General Meeting on August 19 used the opportunity to invite all the presidential candidates from various political parties to present a speech on how they intend to tackle the myriad of problems confronting the nation at the moment.

While other candidates were physically present at the occasion, the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was conspicuously absent but he was represented by his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.

Sharing his experience from the occasion as one of the speakers, Dumebi Kachikwu who is running under the platform of the African Democratic Congress described the occasion as a privilege for him.

According to him, it was a great privilege for him to share the same podium with other presidential candidates who are old enough to be his father, grandfather and great grandfather.

The ADC Flagbearer who spoke on Channels TV Politics Today on Wednesday explained that in terms of age, all the three leading candidates are far older than him.

He believes that Peter Obi of the Labour Party is old enough to be his father while Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress can pass for great grandfathers for him.

As a result of this, he felt being privileged to share the same podium with them to speak on this vision to transform Nigeria.

He is however of the opinion that they are too old for the responsibilities of shouldering Nigeria’s problem and they should leave the stage for the younger generation like him.

He said what Nigeria needs to move forward at this time is digital approach to problem and not analog which many of them are used to because of their age.

Dumebi Kachikwu stated this while featuring on Channels TV Politics Today on Wednesday.
