3 Nigerian Governors Who Joined Gov. Wike In A Meeting With Peter Obi & Ex- President Obasanjo In London

Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike is in London alongside other Nigerian governors who accompanied him from Nigeria.

Governor Wike was reported to have held a meeting with the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo at a yet to be disclosed venue in the UK.

This was coming less than 24 hours after the presidential candidate of Accord Party, Professor Chris Imumolen held a meeting with the former president at the Olusegun Obasanjo presidential Library in Abeokuta on Wednesday.

According to the report in Punch, the meeting between Obasanjo, Peter Obi and Wike is said to be connected to the forthcoming general election.

About three governors from Nigeria were said to be in attendance. Governors who were present at the meeting include Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.

Other notable Nigerians at the meeting include former governor of Cross Rivers State, Donald Duke among others.

Details of the meeting were however sketchy as many believed that it is not unconnected to the forthcoming 2023 elections.

Wike has been widely rumoured in the last few days to have met behind closed doors with the Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu outside the country.

The Rivers State governor has been having a running battle with the presidential candidate of his party, Atiku Abubakar and all efforts to resolve the Crisis have remained futile.

What many Nigerians are however wondering is how it will be easy and comfortable for Wike to either support Tinubu of APC or Obi of Labour Party ahead of Atiku, the candidate of the party he has sacrificed so much for.
