Prepare for legal action – Again, Joke Silva debunks Olu Jacob’s death rumour, threatens to sue
Award winning veteran actor Olu Jacobs has for many years shamed a lot of rumour mongers who go about peddling fake news of his death.
Very often, online news platforms have circulated reports of the death of the 80-year-old.
But as much as those fake stories emanate from ditractors, Joke Silva, his wife, is always ready to throw them to the trash can where they belong, but this time, she intends to take it a step further by suing.
The 60-year-old Joke debunked the latest rumour in a statement shared on Instagram on Monday, August 29.
“Good day everyone, trust all is going well. The Jacob clan would love to inform you that Pa J (Olu Jacobs MFR) is alive and enjoying himself as always in the comfort of his home and loved ones. To all those that have decided to ignore our last warnings regarding fake new, kindly prepare for legal action.”
In October 2021, Joke shut down rumours of her husband’s death after the fake news circulated on the internet. She told The Punch:
“Don’t mind them, they’re just talking rubbish; don’t disturb your head. He is in the living room right now about to have Eba and Ogbono soup. Let them keep deceiving themselves. He is hale and hearty.”
Olu Jacobs was also rumoured dead in 2020. Actress Lala Akindoju who is quite close to the veteran and his wife, however, debunked the rumour in a Twitter post saying that she spoke with the 80-year-old and he was “alive and well”
A star of several film, TV and theatre productions, Olu Jacobs has been off the acting scene for a while due to age.
