Military onslaught kills 49 Boko Haram
The Nigerian military recorded some success when two Super Tukano bombed three terrorist camps in Sambisa forest in Borno State.
The onslaught in multiple airstrikes carried out by the Air Task Force Operation Hadin Kai on Tuesday and Wednesday at the terrorist camps of Gargash, Minna, and Gazuwa, in Bama Local Government Area (LGA), killed at least 49 Boko Haram terrorists.
Tuesday’s airstrike targeted a moving truck of the terrorists in Gargash, killing all its occupants, according to report.
Combat aircraft took another turn attacking targets at another location given as Minna, leading to the killing of several Boko Haram insurgents while others escaped with bullet wounds.
On Wednesday, another air strike was conducted in Gazuwa after intelligence surveillance revealed large presence of Boko Haram militants.
About 29 terrorists were neutralised in Gazuwa, one truck with four fighters killed in Gargash while 16 other fighters met their waterloo in Minna, according to Politics Nigeria.
