Festus Keyamo Speaks On Dragging Tinubu To Court Over Certificate Forgery

Spokesperson of the Tinubu Campaign Organization, Festus Keyamo has reacted to the trending allegation in the media that he once dragged his principal, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress to court in 1999 over certificate forgery allegations.

The allegation was raised by the spokesperson of Atiku Abubakar campaign organization, Daniel Bwala while featuring on Channels TV’s Politics Today programme.

Bwala, while making the allegation on the live TV programme presented proof and paper evidence that Festus Keyamo actually dragged the former Lagos governor to court over his certificate forgery.

The legal luminary claimed that Tinubu’s certificate forgery is not something that started recently. It has been a major public controversy since his days as governor of Lagos. Bwala claimed that Festus Keyamo dragged him to court over the matter in 1999 and he presented his facts and evidences to show that Tinubu did not possess the requisite qualifications he claimed to have.

Reacting to the allegation, Festus Keyamo said it is true he went to court but it was not Tinubu he took to court. He noted that he actually dragged the Lagos State House of Assembly to court that time.

According to the minister of State for Labour and Employment, It was to challenge their powers to investigate ALLEGATIONS of crime. 

“And instead of quoting the LEAD JUDGMENT by Ogundare JSC, some persons are reading the reportage of a lawyer in the law report. Anyway, once a court has decided, we must all respect the decision. QED” Keyamo stated.
