Reason Queen Elizabeth Will Be Laid- In-State For Four Days Before She Will Be Buried In The UK
The body of the late Queen of England is expected to be Laid-In-State for four days before the final burial.
This announcement was made by the royal family on Saturday on twitter. This is part of activities to mark the funeral rite of the late Monarch who died on Thursday at the age of 96.
According to the information which was released on social media, the laying in state will allow members of the public especially those of British origin and other leaders across the world to pay their last respect to the Queen.
The programme is expected to run for four days and end on the 19th of September at Westminster Abbey. She will therefore be buried after she must have been accorded with the last respect.
Since the announcement of her death by the royal family, the world has been paying condolences and tributes to the late Monarch.
Queen Elizabeth III is renowned as the longest serving Monarch in the history of the United Kingdom having ascended to the throne at the age of 25. Prince Charles who is now the crown king of England was three years old when his mother became the Queen.
Prince Charles has been officially crowned on Saturday as the fourth Head of state of the United Kingdom.
