Your Fatherly Intervention Prevented Imo From Being Overrun By Bandits- Uzodinma Tells Buhari 

Senator Hope Uzodinma, governor of Imo State has given his people good reasons to thank president Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday following the president’s visit to the state.

Buhari was in Imo on a working visit to commission some projects completed by the governor. Among the projects commissioned by the president are the Phase one of the 53 kilometers dualized Owerri Okigwe Road and the reconstructed 36 kilometers dualized Owerri Orlu road.

The President who touched down from his presidential jet around 12 noon at the Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport in Owerri was received by the governor and other state government executives who led him to different venues where the projects were to be commissioned.

While thanking the president, the state governor, Hope Uzodinma said the people of the state will not forget the efforts and contributions he made to restore peace in the state especially at the time when the state was boiling with the activities of criminals that invaded the state.

He explained that it was the prompt intervention of president Buhari that prevented Imo State from being completely overrun by bandits. If not for that, gunmen and hoodlums would have taken over the State from his (Uzodinma’s) government.

According to the governor, the establishment of a Naval base at Oguta is another testimony of president Buhari’s care for Igbo people. This could not have come at a more critical time than now. 

He said If he dares list all the president had done for Imo State, they may not leave there today. Uzodinma said he can’t leave out the fact that Buhari’s prompt intervention helped to restore peace and order in Imo state. 

“But for your timely, prompt and fatherly intervention, through the security agencies, Imo State would have been overrun by bandits and hoodlums. For this, I also say a big thank you, Mr President.” The governor said.
