Boko Haram is in our communities – LG VC raises alarm after regaining freedom
Vice Chairman of Isoko North Local Governance Area in Delta State, Frank Esiwo Ozue, has raised the alarm of infiltration by Boko Haram in his community.
Ozue regained his freedom on Wednesday, September 14 following his kidnap along Iwhre-Ovie/Oviri-Ogor Road in Ogor Town, off the Ughelli/Evwreni section of the East-West Road four days earlier.
According to family sources, the vice chairman of the council was released after paying a N7 million ransom to his kidnappers.
Ozue also took to his Facebook page on Thursday morning to confirm that he had regained his freedom, adding that he was kidnapped by “Hausas.”
“Words are not enough to Thank God for his mercies. Your fervent prayers were truly answered. I regained my freedom from daredevil extremists, Hausas living within us, now turned Boko Haram in our communities. Truly they are here. I will do a documentary on my 4 days in captivity.” he said.
Spokesperson of the Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the development said the victim has reunited with his family.
