PHOTO: CNN Mistakenly Displays Shettima’s Picture As APC Presidential Candidate Instead Of Tinubu On Live Show

The Cable News Network (CNN) has apparently committed a fatal error on Monday during its live political Programme.

The globally renowned TV channel while making political analysis delved into the forthcoming Nigerian election as a political event worthy of global expectation in 2023.

They compared each of the presidential candidates from the different political parties according to their strongholds.

While Dr. Peter Obi and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar were correctly placed in their positions as presidential candidates of Labour Party and People’s Democratic Party respectively, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was conspicuously missing from the log.

Rather than identifying the former governor of Lagos as presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, it was Kashim Shettima that was featured in his place among the list of other presidential candidates.

CNN boldly flashed the pictures on their screen which conspicuously stayed on the screen for several minutes.

Kashim Shettima is the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress while Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the substantive presidential candidate.

How CNN was able to misrepresent Shettima for Tinubu is not yet understood despite the wide popularity the former governor of Lagos was said to have ammassed since he embarked on his presidential journey to Aso Rock.
