Residents Can Testify Anambra Is Very Safe- Soludo Speaks On Security Days After Uba Was Attacked 

Anambra state governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has confirmed that his state is relatively safe and the residents can testify to that.

The governor stated this while featuring on Channels TV Sunday Politics where he was asked some pertinent questions about the state of the Nation and security challenges facing the State.

The conversation was coming barely a week after gunmen struck in the state and killed some aides to the former  governorship candidate of Labour Party, Senator Ifeanyi Uba.

The Senator narrowly escaped the attack, the luck which was attributed to the aid of Bulletproof car he was riding on that fateful day. Nevertheless, reports had it that about four of his aides were gruesomely murdered in the bloody attack.

Speaking on the development, Governor Soludo revealed that Anambra has been relatively safe for a while except on rare occasions like what happened last week.

He said although, there is no state in Nigeria that is free from insecurity but compared to what is happening in other places, he can confidently say Anambra is relatively safe for now and the 8.5 million residents in the state can testify to that.

Different events are held across the state and there is no disturbance. People are doing new yam festival in peace and people are going about their daily  businesses within the state. 

He however admitted to the fact that moment of flashes like what happened a week ago are being experienced sometimes but not like what it used to be in the state. 

He said the security architecture within the state is now making it difficult for criminals to operate seamlessly like they used to do in the past

Soludo revealed this on Channel’s TV.
