John Ewa an alleged kidnap kingpin fondly known as Lion and who was arrested on Sunday is now trending on social media. 

He is trending not because of his arrest but for putting on a campaign T-shirt of the ruling All Progressive Congress. The Campaign T-shirt revealed that he was a supporter of David Lyon, the 2019 governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress.

The ex-banker was also seen posing with some security operatives who reportedly escorted him to a function organised by the APC before the poll.

The kidnap kingpin was arrested during the weekend by the police in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital territory.

A viral video captured the moment he was arrested by the police and handcuffed.

He was shedding tears and pleading for mercy, saying he had only kidnapped people twice.

Lion was said to have been tracked and arrested in Abuja.

He was said to have used his position as a banker to get information about prospective targets.
