What Sowore Said When Asked How He Plans To Win Presidential Election When He Hasn’t Visited The “Owners Of Nigeria”

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore has disclosed that people regarded as owners of Nigeria are those who should be in prison by now.

Sowore made this statement while featuring as a guest during the Thursday edition of Arise TV’s Morning Show where he was made to answer certain questions bothering on his presidential ambition ahead of 2023.

The term “owners of Nigeria” was used by the publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu during one of his articles published on a national daily. The former PDP presidential aspirant also made it known on a national TV his reason for regarding certain category of people as owners of Nigeria.

Since he made the statement, the slogan has successfully crept into the Nigerian political lexicon. The living Ex-Presidents either civilian or military presidents are regarded as owners of Nigeria who should be visited by any presidential candidates for consultation and advice ahead of election.

However, Omoyele Sowore appears to be one of the few presidential candidates who has not visited the former leaders.

Asked why he hasn’t done so and how he intends to achieve his presidential ambition without their advice and blessings, Sowore said these are people who should be in prison by now because they are part of the problems Nigeria is facing.

He described them as spent forces who have no more than their votes if at all they will come out on election day to vote.

Sowore said they command no influence and they cannot change anything even in their own polling units. With or without them, Sowore believes he can win the presidential election in 2023 and he does not really have to visit them.

Sowore made this statement on Thursday on Arise TV.
