Solidarity March Goes Wrong As Hoodlums Attack APC Members Who Walked For Tinubu In Ibadan

Many of those who took to the streets in Ibadan, Oyo State to march for the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu are currently telling a story of regret.

The group members who staged the solidarity March along Beere-Oje gate expressway were ambushed by yet to be identified hoodlums at the Labiran area.

About ten people were seriously injured in the attack while several others fled through different routes to escape the bloody encounter.

The APC group was led by the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress in Oyo State Senator, Teslim Folarin, Oyo Central Senatorial Candidate, Dr. Yunus Akintunde, Northern Senatorial Candidate, Abdufaltahi Buhari and other candidates for State House of Assembly under the party.

While condemning the attack, Senator Teslim Folarin described the situation as unfortunate. He said the injured have been rushed to an undisclosed hospital.

Folarin said, “As peaceful and law-abiding citizens, we will not take laws into our hands. To this end, I call on law enforcement agencies to do the needful.

“Not minding the deadly attacks on our members by Makinde’s agents of darkness, we’re continuing our walk for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu / Kashim Shettima. The injured members are receiving treatments at an undisclosed hospital,” he said.
