Nigerians have taken to social media to console popular American singer, Shakira, after her former lover, Gerard Pique broke her heart and left her for a younger woman.
Shakira went ahead and took to her Instagram page to write and share a video of a man crushing a heart months after Gerard Pique left her for a younger woman.
She wrote, “I never said anything but it hurt. I knew this would happen.”

According to reports Shakira and Gerard Pique broke up truly but not due to alleged infidelity
Recall that Shakira broke up with her longtime partner and FC Barcelona Star, Gerard Pique amid the infidelity allegations, ending their 11-year union. According to a recent development, a report indicated that the couple’s separation was caused by money problems rather than alleged adultery.
A source disclosed that there were problems between the Hips Don’t Lie actress and the Spanish football player in the final few months of their relationship.
As per a report in Geo News, Roberto Garcia, an ex-boyfriend of one of Shakira’s sisters, spilled the beans about Shakira’s split with Gerard Pique. Garcia said,
“According to what a source very close to them told newsmen, there has been a financial problem between the two. Supposedly, Piqué would have asked Shakira for money for an investment issue and the singer’s family refused to give it to him. They don’t mix their money and keep the family economy at 50%.”
