Minutes After Getting In, Well-Digger Contracted To Evacuate A Contaminated Well Suffocates, Dies

A well-digger contracted to evacuate a well contaminated with chemicals died minutes after he entered the well located in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the state police command, shared the sad story via Twitter.

”Somewhere in Ipakodo, a local well digger was contracted to evacuate a well because some chemicals had mixed with the water. The good digger went into the well, and minutes later, suffocated. The investigation is ongoing. Please, endeavor to always put personal safety first.” he wrote.
