Wizkid Exercises Caution In Song Lyrics, Says His Kids Listen To His Music
In his conscious efforts to make children top priority, popular Nigerian A-List artiste and songwriter Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has disclosed plans to change his song’s lyrics because of his kids.
Wizkid made this known in a recent interview with newsmen as he said in his words, “Now that my kids listen to my songs, I am more careful with what I put in them.”
The talented award-winning artist stated after the release of his new album, More Love Less Ego, “Along with regulating my ego, one other ambition for this new chapter is to live forever. I recently saw the musical “Get Up, Stand Up!” by Bob Marley. We’re watching a Bob Marley performance, and this person passed away years ago, I was like…
“Bob Marley achieved so much at such a young age, I didn’t even realize he passed away at 36,” the 32-year-old claimed. It only reinforces what I do, and I must continue pushing this to new heights because I am confident that they will write a play on me someday.
The current expectation, he continued, is to write songs that would last in his fans’ memory long after he is gone.
