Two suspected thieves have been apprehended in Okutukutu community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The suspects were caught with stolen tubers of yam, ATM card and other items in the early hours of Thursday.
According to Okutukutu Youth Movement (OYM) president, Kester Wilcox, one of the suspects confessed to have stolen the yam in another community and was taking them to the market to sell.
“Okutukutu community is known for being very vigilant when it comes to security, although we are not 100% perfect but we are trying our best to make sure residence are very safe and also leave without fear,” he said.
