BREAKING: Man United, Ronaldo part ways with immediate effect

Manchester United have announced that it has mutually parted ways with striker Cristiano Ronaldo with immediate effect.

Ronaldo had last week slammed the club and top management, including manager Erik Ten Hag for disrespecting him and refusing to upgrade the club’s training facility.

Ronaldo added that the club has not made any progress since former manager Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013.

United and Ronaldo have now reached a mutual understanding to terminate their relationship immediately. This means the Portugal captain will not be returning to Old Trafford after the World Cup.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.

“The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.

“Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.” A club statement seen by RovingNaija reads on Tuesday.
