Fire Ravages Ondo Television Station 

An Inferno has gutted some parts of the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation OSRC Complex in Akure, the state capital.

The fire which started early on Sunday affected some offices at the first floor.

It was however the timely arrival of men of the ondo state fire service who succeeded in putting out the fire that saved the equipment of the broadcast station.

The complex which houses the three stations of the media group didn’t have any of its studios affected.

Meanwhile, All broadcast equipment of the ondo state Radiovision Corporation media group are safe after the early morning Inferno which destroyed parts of the orita obele, akure complex housing its three stations.

The stations are osrc TV, 96.5 fm Alalaye and the orange 94.5 fm which was recently relocated from Shagari estate.

A quick assessment of the the complex after the fire was put out by the men of ondo state fire service, showed that the broadcast equipment of the three stations are intact.

The fire incident only affected the administrative offices.

Operations of the three stations were immediately shut down to forestall damage.

Efforts are on to ensure the stations resume operations as the review of the systems are ongoing.
