You Deserve What You Are Getting From Tinubu – Amaechi Tells Nigerians To Stop Complaining

Rotimi Amaechi, Former Governor of Rivers State and Minister of Transportation under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has asked Nigerians to stop complaining over the current situation of the country.

He revealed that Nigerians deserve what they are getting from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu having voted for him in the last presidential election.

Amaechi, stated this while making his appearance on Arise TV over the weekend.

“Nigerians get what they want, what they deserve. You can’t complain. I think. Nigerians at all times had had opportunities to vote. Whatever you vote for is what you deserve,” he said.

Although Mr Amaechi, who also slugged it out in the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress, did not mention specific names, Nigerians have lamented the harsh effects of President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies.

Since Tinubu assumed office as Nigeria’s president, the country’s socio-economy continued to worsen, especially with the rise in foreign exchange rates.

Commenting on the nation’s current economy situation under Tinubu, the former minister said Nigerians could seek greener pastures and explore opportunities abroad.

However, he explained that Nigeria has several opportunities if the youths who continue to leave the country are willing to tap into the resources around them.

“I have always discouraged those who want to leave the country, I say 9-5? Yes, you can always get 9-5 job when you leave the country, but you can never get the opportunity you get in Nigeria.

“You can just wake up one day and become a minister in Nigeria. You can just wake up one day, and you become a governor. It just happens; I don’t know how the country operates,” said the former governor.

He listed insecurity and lack of employment creation as factors driving citizens outside the country, adding that only the government can solve the challenges.

“So if you’re looking for opportunities, please stay in Nigeria,” Mr Amaechi added.
