Just In: Okorocha Granted Bail By Fed. High Court

Former governor of Imo State and a presidential aspirant under the platform of the All Progressive Congress, Rochas Okaracha has been granted bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

He was granted bail by Justice Inyang Ekwo on Tuesday in the sum of 500 million naira and a surety in like sum.

He had been charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before the court following his alleged complicity in a N2.9 billion fraud.

Justice Ekwo ordered that the surety must be a responsible citizen who has landed property in the like sum of the bail granted Okorocha.

Also, Justice Ekwo barred the Senator from traveling out of Nigeria except with the express permission of the court.

Meanwhile, Okorocha is expected to remain in the custody of the EFCC until his bail conditions are met.
