Hours After Attending A Public Function, House Of Rep Candidate Dies
The Accord Party candidate for Atibo/Saki West/Saki East Federal Constituency of Oyo State in the forthcoming 2023 general election, Jacob Funmi Ogunmola, popularly called JFO, is dead.
Ogunmola died on Sunday, a few hours after attending a function in Saki.
The late politician was the caretaker chairman of Atisbo Local Government under the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
A source close to late Ogunmola said he was being moved to Lagos, his base, from Saki, when he breathed his last.
Another source said that he had just finished a programme in Saki when he complained that he was feeling unwell. They were on their way to Lagos when he breathed his last.
A few months ago, Ogunmola’s successor in office as council chairman, Wasiu Owolabi, died in a car crash.
Condolence messages have been pouring in on social media following Ogunmola’s exit.
