#JusticeForMohbad#: OAP, Activist Clash Over Police Firing Teargas At Protesters
On Air Personality, Dotun and Right Activist, Rinu Oduala engaged themselves in a war of words on X in the early hours of Friday, after the former blamed those that attended Mohbad’s memorial in Lagos, for allowing the police fire teargas at them.
According to Dotun, the candlelight procession and tribute night had ended and people were asked to go home afterwards. However, some went to converge at the Lekki tollgate.
A video he retweeted showed the police begging those that converged at the Lekki tollgate to go home but they refused.
Dotun said their refusal prompted the officers to make use of teargas so as to disperse the crowd.
However, Rinu in her reaction argued that the police had no justification to fire teargas at the attendees.
