If You Are So Sure Of Tinubu, Present Him For Town Hall Debate – Arise TV Dares Dele Alake, Bayo Onanuga

Arise TV and ThisDay Media Group Chairman, Nduka Obaigbena has challenged the leadership of media team of the All Progressive Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to present him for a live town hall debate.

This is coming on the backdrop of the the Media fireworks that have lingered between the two parties in the last one week.

In a joint statement released by Tinubu’s Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga and Director of Strategic Communication, Dele Alake, the team has accused the ThisDay chairman and his Editorial Board of being partisan and trying to push negative narratives against Tinubu’s candidacy through their TV station and newspaper publication.

In the four-page Press Statement issued on Tuesday, Alake and Onanuga exposed some secretes about Obaigbena and his media organization as well as some of his staff members.

Reacting to the development, the Media Group Chairman noted that he has nothing personal against Tinubu and his ambition to be Nigeria’s president in 2023.

Instead of resorting to blackmail and attack on him or his staff, Obaigbena insisted Dele Alake and Bayo Onanuga should present the former governor of Lagos for debate to engage with Nigerians on his plans for the country in 2023.

He noted that it is not a must they come to Arise TV. They can take him to any other National Television including his TVC to speak directly to Nigerians, saying resorting to blackmail, fake news, will not work.

He reiterated that journalists are not their opponents in the 2023 election.
