Four persons have been killed by terrorists in a fresh attack on two Communities in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The latest attack is coming barely 24 hours after three persons were murdered in Kaura Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
The PUNCH reports that four persons were gruesomely killed in Kamuru Village and Ungwan Alulu in Zango Kataf LGA, while three were killed in Kpak and Malagum communities on Tuesday afternoon.
The Executive Chairman of Zango Kataf Local Government, Hon. Francis Sani (Zimbo), who confirmed the incident to THE PUNCH on Wednesday via a telephone interview, said four people were killed while four sustained gunshot injuries and were receiving treatment at a hospital.
The council chairman urges residents in the area to remain calm and allow security agencies to do a thorough job of bringing the preparators to book.
“I am calling on affected communities and other neighbouring villages to be vigilant while going about their normal businesses.
“We’re approaching festive period. We must remain steadfast in prayers and be watchful in order to keep our communities safe,” Francis cautioned.
When contacted, the spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, Mohammed Jalige, said he was attending an event and promised to respond with appropriate information on the sad incident.
