Ondo Federal Lawmaker Escapes Assassination Attempt In His Consistuency

Tajudeen Adefisoye, a member of Federal House of Representatives, who represents Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency has allegedly escaped assassination attempt in his Consistuency.

Adefisoye confirmed the development on Monday through his verified twitter account.

According to him, the attempt was carried out by supporters of opposition candidate who are hell-bent on using violence to win the forthcoming election for their candidate.

The lawmaker uploaded photos of his vehicle which was riddled with gun bullets during the encounter.

He wrote: “Assassination attempt on my Humble self by the PdP Mhr candidate and Mha candidate in my local govt. Omo see  Stray Bullet.”

Adefisoye fondly known as “Small Alhaji” won his first election to the Federal House of Representatives in 2019 to represent the people of Idanre and Ifedore Federal Constituency at the lower chamber.

Regarded as the youngest federal lawmaker in the National Assembly, Adefisoye is currently vying for a second term after picking the ticket of the All Progressives Congress to contest in 2023 and retain his seat if he wins.

He is however challenged by another grassroot politician, Festus Akingbaso who is from the same Idanre local government where he hails from.

Akingbaso is the current member of the state house of Assembly who represents Idanre constituency under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party. He is currently contesting for Federal House of Representatives to unseat Adefisoye.
