Arise TV Reacts After Tinubu’s PCC Gave Reason For Sending Its Cameraman Out Of Event In Lagos
Arise TV has officially reacted to the statement made by Bayo Onanuga, the Director of Media and Publicity of Tinubu’s presidential campaign council on sending away the camera man who came to cover their event in Lagos.
Onanuga, in a tweet made on his verified twitter account on Saturday explained the reason why an official camera man from Arise TV billed to cover an event where Tinubu was to speak to members of the NESG in Ikoyi was sent out of the venue.
According to Onanuga, the event was not meant to be streamed live and was only meant to be recorded for future broadcast. But with the presence of Arise TV crew, which started to stream the event live, such plans won’t be achieved.
He said Arise TV was not officially invited for the event but came stealthily to do the job.
The statement has however attracted reactions from Nigerians on twitter.
Reacting to the development in a series of post made on twitter by the director of news, Yemi Ajayi, the TV station told Onanuga that every media organization has the right to determine its editorial policy and this is exactly what Arise TV has done.
