Many injured as explosion hits APC rally

There was pandemonium at the venue of the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Port Harcourt the Rivers State capital, following an explosion.

Three persons sustained injuries when a twin explosion rocked the Rumuwoji Playground venue of the APC rally on Thursday.

Two of those injured are women, all of whom were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

Publicity Secretary of the APC, Darlington Nwauju, confirmed the incident, describing it as ‘unfortunate’, even as the Police spokesperson, Iringe-Koko, said she will get back to our correspondent.

The cause of the explosion is yet to be known at the time of filing this report.
