‘Search Tinubu’s residence for cocaine and run a narcotic test on him’ – PDP tells NDLEA
The personal war between aides of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterparts Atiku Abubakar is getting tougher.
Both candidates have been subjected to personal attacks from the opposition.
Spokesperson for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Senator Dino Melaye, on Saturday called on the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to search the houses of Tinubu.
Melaye, in a video posted on his known Twitter handle asked the anti-narcotic agency to also conduct a drug test on the former Lagos State governor.
“I am making a clarion call on General Buba Marwa, the Chairman of the NDLEA, to please, in the interest of this country, search the residence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to search for cannabis, cocaine, and other narcotic drugs,” Melaye said.
“Please, conduct a narcotic test on Bola Ahmed Tinubu, because for you to be president of this country, you must be drug-free, you must be mentally and physically fit.
“Bola Ahmed is not physically fit; he is not mentally fit. It will be dangerous for Nigerians to have a Pablo Escobar as president.”
He promised that the PDP will “follow up” its latest demand with an official petition, adding that his principal, Atiku, is open to the same scrutiny.
