Super Eagles striker Onuachu joins Aribo at Southampton

English Premier League club, Southampton now has two Super Eagles players in their team.

In a message on its on the official website, the Premier League side confirmed on deadline day that Onuachu has joined Southampton on a permanent deal from Belgian club Genk.

The tall striker signed a three-year deal that will see him stay at the club till 2026.

Onuachu scored 164 goals in 328 appearances for three different clubs since he moved to Europe.

Southampton already have another Nigeria international Joe Aribo on their payroll. Aribo joined the South Coast club from Scottish side Rangers in the summer of 2022.
