VIDEO: Heavy Protest Rocks Sango Ota As Angry Residents Block Highway Over Naira Scarcity
Residents of Sango Ota in Ogun State have expressed their grievances with an angry protest over the teething cash crunch that has gripped the nation in the jugular.
As early as Tuesday morning, the angry youths trooped out enmass to block the Lagos Abeokuta highway which led to the traffic gridlock in the area.
In the video which has been circulating online, some of the protesters were heard saying “all they need is their money. “
They called on commercial and central banks to release their money or face dire consequence.
The protest was punctuated with burnfire along the expressroad, traffic gridlock and series of open demonstrations by the protesters.
Motorists who ply the route were forced to either take a U-turn and make their ways out of the area through Joju link roay.
