Reactions Trail Dapo Abiodun’s Visit To Fuel Station, Asking Manager To Sell Petrol & Collect Old Naira Note

Governor Dapo Abiodun’s surprised visit to a filling station in Abeokuta, the state capital of Ogun State has been trailed with mixed reactions since the video hit the internet on Wednesday morning.

The Ogun State governor had shared a video on his verified twitter handle, revealing his unscheduled visit to the yet to be identified fuel station.

According to the video which has been circulating on the internet, the station was noticed to be hoarding fuel while customers gathered helplessly to buy fuel.

The station was also said to have been rejecting old naira notes from buyers whenever they intend to sell.

During his visit, Governor Dapo Abiodun ordered the manager to start selling for the buyers and also collect their old naira notes.

Explaining the incident on his verified twitter handle immediately after the encounter, the governor wrote:

“While setting out for our campaign today, I made an unscheduled visit to a filling station that was hoarding fuel and I mandated them to sell the product to buyers and also accept the old naira notes from their customers.

The sole essence of any government is to ensure the comfort of her citizens and we would stop at nothing towards getting this achieved.”

The governor’s action has been eliciting reactions from Nigerians on social media.
