Gunshots, chaos as unrest rock Lagos

There was total chaos in Lagos on Friday morning following an unrest.

Mile 12, Ketu, Ojota and agege areas were rocked by gunshots and bonefire.

Conflicting reports RovingNaija learnt have it that some residents had come out to protest over the scarcity of naira notes.

Another report has it that it was a political clash between supporters of rival parties as the 2023 Presidential election is just one week away.

However, gunshots were heard as early as 7am in Ojota and Ketu, with police and military men taking over the Ikorodu Expressway to quell the unrest.

Motorists and other residents who were on their way to work had to make a U-turn as they run for their lives.

The development caused major chaos on the Ikorodu Road.

Normalcy appears to have returned to these areas at the time of this report.
