Police, Soldiers Neutralize Unknown Gunmen Terrorising Anambra

Some unknown gunmen terrorising Anambra State met their waterloo on Sunday after a bloody encounter with a combined team of military and police officers deployed to maintain peace in the area.

The gunmen were said to be going round the state, disrupting political activities and threatening that there would be no election anywhere in the region come February 25 and March 11.

In a bloody showdown with Nigerian security operatives on Sunday, not less than five of the hoodlums were gunned down.

In a video and pictures circulating on social media, it was revealed that the miscreants were armed with charms to prevent bullets fired by soldiers and policemen from penetrating their bodies. But that was not the case at the end of hostilities.
