RESULT BREAKDOWN: Peter Obi slug it out with Tinubu in 12 Lagos LGAs

Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi and his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart, Bola Ahmed Tinubu are in a tough battle to win the presidential election in Lagos State.

In the 12 local government areas declared so far in Lagos State, Tinubu has won seven while his counterpart, Peter Obi of the Labour Party has won five.

The former Lagos governor had lost his local government, Ikeja to Obi, however, things still seem to be going his way in the state.

The results for the local government areas announced include — Lagos Mainland, Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos Island, Badagry, Ikeja, Kosofe, Eti-Osa, Somolu, Amuwo-Odofin and Agege.

There are 20 local government areas in the state.

Aside from Ikeja, where Obi recorded a big upset, the LP candidate also won in Kosofe and Somolu Local Governments, widely seen as strongholds of the APC.
