PHOTOS: Protest Rocks Kogi State As Women Traditionalists Go Spiritual Over Election Results

The declaration of results of February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections across the country has continued to be met with strong resistance and nationwide criticisms.

Just as a group are staging a protest to express its displeasure on the recently announced presidential election in Abuja, some women in Kogi Central have taken to the streets to protest what they described as “injustice” following the outcome of the senatorial election in the district.

According to the video clips obtained by TRIBUNE ONLINE, the women in white ritual attires protested and urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to do justice to their votes and declare Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan as Senator-elect.

It was learned that the white ritual is done at sacred times to invoke the ancestral spirits of war against those who cheat or cause pain to the land.

Recall that Natasha had rejected the declaration of Abubakar Sadiku-Ohere of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as winner of the February 25 election for Kogi Central Senatorial District following the irregularities that marred the process.

Sadiku-Ohere was said to have defeated Mrs Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to emerge winner of the keenly contested election.
