Nollywood Actor, Deyemi Okanlawon Invites LP Rep-Elect Who Defeated Banky W. In Eti-Osa For Questioning

Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawon, has thrown a challenge to Mr. Thaddeus Attah, the Labour Party House of Representatives candidate who was elected on Saturday to represent the people of Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in the Lower House.

Attah who was believed to have been on the side of fortune on Saturday got elected through a popular votes given to the presidential candidate of his party, Dr. Peter Obi.

According to the story circulating online, the Rep-elect did not embark on any campaign neither did he present a manifesto or organise a town hall meeting with members of the constituency before going into the election with his opponents among who is Bankole Wellington, Banky W.

Luckily for him, he won the election and this has become a major topic of discussion since last Saturday.

The development prompted the Nollywood Actor, Deyemi Okonlawon to pen an open letter to the Rep-Elect on Friday through his Instagram page.

In the letter, Okanlawon said he only became aware of him after he was declared the winner and that he voted for his colleague, Bankole Wellington,  aka Banky W, who ran for the same seat on the Peoples Democratic Party platform, adding that he would have been the best candidate for the job.

He invited him (Attah) to join him online for a live Instagram conversation to address concerns and answer questions because he has done extensive research on him and has yet to find anything about his plans for Eti-Osa.

Part of what he wrote reads, “OPEN LETTER TO HOR-ELECT THADDEUS ATTAH. Dear Sir, I’ll like to use this opportunity to congratulate you, Mr Attah, same as with a lot of Lagosians, I only first heard of you when you were announced the winner a few days ago.

“Since that time I have made a significant effort to find out as much as possible about our newly elected federal HOR candidate.

“To my surprise, my quest for answers left me even more puzzled as to who you really are as well as what your qualifications, past precedents and plans are for the people of Eti-Osa.”
