Lagos is A Yoruba State In Yoruba Land, It Is Wrong To Say Lagos Is A No Man’s Land- Yul Edochie

Nollywood Actor, Yul Edochie has schooled his kinsmen who believe that Lagos is a no man land and anyone can come from any part of the state to claim ownership of the state.

The seasoned film maker clarified this in a lenghty post on his Instagram page on Saturday.

According to him, the fact that Lagos is accommodating and conducive for everyone to settle and do business does not mean the state does not belong to a particular geopolitical zone.

He described the speculation that Lagos is a no man land as childish. While acknowledging that Igbos have also contributed to the state, he noted that it is not enough to say Lagos is a “no man land”.

He said, “Lagos is a Yoruba Land in Yoruba State, it is wrong to say Lagos is a no man land.”

Going further via his Instagram post, he revealed that,  “Imagine someone saying that Anambra is a no man land, That’s crap.

“Anambra is an Igbo land. You can’t come into someones land and tell the person its now a no man land, na you dey find trouble.

“Nobody can deny the fact that the Igbos have contributed immensely to the development of Lagos. Other tribes have contributed in their own ways too.

“And the Yoruba’s have been largely accommodating as well. It shouldn’t take away the fact that Lagos is a Yoruba land. We no dey drag ownership. Let’s kill tribalism before it kills us.”
