Labour Party Governorship Candidate In Lagos Reacts To Train-BRT Accident
The governorship candidate of Labour Party in Lagos, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has reacted to the fatal accident involving a passengers train and Lagos state government staff bus on Thursday.
Six persons were confirmed dead while many passengers sustained various degrees of injury while in the accident which occured at the PWD area of Ikeja.
Reacting to the development, the governorship candidate of the Labour party, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour expressed his sympathy to the victims and called on well-meaning Lagosians to assist in blood donation as there will be need for that soon.
He made this known on his Twitter handle shortly after the news of the accident went viral.
He wrote: “I am deeply saddened by the news of the train/BRT collision in Ikeja. My prayers for everyone involved in the accident.
“We must all do the best we can to help emergency services get help to all affected.
“Early reports confirm that a lot of injuries have been sustained by the accident.
“If you are a blood donor in the Ikeja area, please be on standby as requests may be coming out soon.
“Thank you,” he wrote.
