No Leader Will Allow His State To Be Run By Thugs- Sanwo-Olu Reacts To Thuggery, Ethnic Bigotry In Lagos
Governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has called on Lagosians to shun activities capable of undermining the peace and security of the state.
The governor spoke on the situation of things in the state while featuring as a special guest on the Wednesday edition of Arise TV Morning Show.
While reacting to the narrative that a particular candidate for the office of governor in Lagos is born of Igbo woman and married to an Igbo lady and therefore should not be voted for, the governor described the notion as condemnable.
According to him, we are all Nigerians first before being attached to a particular tribe. He revealed that everyone has the right to vote and be voted for, as long as they satisfy the constitutional provisions.
Also speaking on thuggery during and after the presidential elections in the state, Sanwo-Olu condemned the development and called on security agents to do their job.
He said: “No leader will allow his state to be run by thugs.”
“Ethnic bigotry, thuggery are highly condemnable. No leader will allow his state to be run by thugs,” he said.
