Tinubu’s PCC Media Director Reacts To Collection Of Certificates Of Return By PDP, LP Senators-Elect

The Director of Media and Publicity of Tinubu’s presidential campaign council, Bayo Onanuga has reacted to the collection of Certificates of Return by the Senators-elect and House of Representatives members-elect of the Labour party and People’s Democratic Party.

Onanuga’s reaction is coming on the heels of rejection of the presidential election result by candidates of the two political parties, Dr. Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar.

The two presidential candidates have both rejected the results conducted on Saturday February 25, citing irregularities in the election and discrepancies in the polling units results uploaded by the INEC officials.

Both parties have approached the court to declare them winner of the election.

However, some candidates who contested the National Assembly poll under the parties won their elections to represent their various constituencies either at the Senate or House of Representatives.

They have been given their Certificates of Return at the National Collation Center.

Reacting to the collection of the Certificates of Return by the lawmakers-elect, Bayo Onanuga said none of them rejected the certificate arising from an election held same day with the presidential election.

He wrote on his Twitter handle: “LP and PDP senators-elect and Reps elect have  accepted the certificates of return from INEC. None rejected the certificates arising from  an election held same day with the presidential election. Certainly some Papas are Deceiving their Pikins (PDP) or vice versa.”
