Festus Keyamo Says Peter Obi Did Not Win 19 States In Presidential Election

The official spokesman of the All Progressive Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo has reacted to trending reports that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party won 19 States plus FCT in the last presidential election in Nigeria.

Unconfirmed reports on social media (not by RovingNaija) claims Peter Obi won 19 States including the Federal Capital Territory in the result from 167,000 polling units uploaded on the INEC Results Viewing portal.

It was also gathered that the former governor of Anambra state is leading other contestants, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar with about 11 million votes, according to the report.

The latest news has further ignited the fire of hope in his supporters who have taken to their various social media handles to welcome the development and express their excitements.

However, another article which was published by Punch online on Thursday night showed that Obi did not actually win 19 States and FCT as earlier reported by other media.

Reacting to the story that negated the earlier report, the APC campaign spokesperman said: “Every lie has an expiry date. This one did not even last 24 hours!!”

The minister of Labour and Employment made this statement through his verified twitter handle on Thursday.
