Festus Keyamo Reacts To Peter Obi’s Comment About Not Challenging Tinubu’s Victory But The Process

Official Spokesman of the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressive Congress, Festus Keyamo has reacted to the statement made by Dr. Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour party on the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president-elect.

Obi has been making the news headlines since he appeared on the Monday edition of Arise TV Morning Show where he expressed his position on the last presidential election and his decision to go to court.

He revealed that he does not have problem with the president-elect or the outcome of the election but he is challenging the process that led to the outcome.

The statement has been eliciting reactions from eminent Nigerians both on social and conventional media.

Reacting to the comment, Festus Keyamo noted that the court has ruled that the process is at the absolute discretion of INEC.

The minister of Labour and Employment revealed this in a reaction to the same story published by the Cable Newspaper.

He wrote: “The courts have said that ‘process’ is at the absolute discretion of the Commission. Labour Party lost the case in court. Besides, that ‘process’ is neither in the Constitution nor the Electoral Act. So, what’s the point?”
