How Sanwo-Olu Described Oyedepo After Visiting Him At His Church In Ota

Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has extolled the virtues of Bishop David Oyedepo, Founder and General Overseer of the Living Faith Church.

Sanwo-Olu visited the man of God at his Faith Tabernacle, Ota Ogun State for a reason he did not disclose to the media.

Many were however of the opinion that the governor’s visit might not be unconnected to the forthcoming governorship election slated for Saturday.

Sanwo-Olu, who is contesting for his second term as govenernor has been rattled and destabilized by the Obidients movement in Lagos and the outcome of the last presidential election which gave Peter Obi of the Labour victory ahead of Bola Tinubu who is the APC presidential candidate for the election.

Since the declaration of results of the presidential election, there has been a paradigm change in the political atmosphere of the state.

Sanwo-Olu is currently being challenged by two other crowd-pulling candidates, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of Labour party and Olajide Adediran of the People’s Democratic Party.

The two contestants are hell-bent on dislodging the governor on Saturday.

As part of efforts to ensure victory on Saturday, Sanwo-Olu is believed to be canvassing for votes through every available means. This among others informed his decision to visit Oyedepo at his Ota based church on Monday.

Making this known on his verified twitter handle, the governor described Oyedepo as a man after God’s heart.

He wrote: “Yesterday, was indeed a memorable day as I met with a man after God’s own heart, a man who has dedicated his life to the service of God and mankind, Bishop David Oyedepo founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide and presiding Bishop of the Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State.”
