Nollywood Actress, Kate Henshaw Blasts Emefiele After Complying With S’Court Ruling

Since the Central Bank of Nigeria has made public its compliance with the recent court ruling, the whirlwind of reactions trailing the development since Monday night has been quite overwhelming.

Ten days after the judgement was delivered, the apex bank issued a press statement to clear the controversies that have greeted the judgement and maintained that old naira notes will remain legal tender till December 31 in compliance with the Supereme Court ruling.

Reacting to the statement issued by the CBN, renowned Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw knocked Godwin Emefiele for his decision to wait this long and put Nigerians through unnecessary hardship before doing the needful.

Writing on her verified twitter handle on Tuesday, the veteran Nollywood Actress said: “You brought untold hardship, got banks & their staff attacked, ignited protests with this cash confiscation policy of yours, then you turn around & do this??!”

Her reaction appears to have gone in line with the position of many Nigerians who berated the CBN governor for deliberately throwing Nigerians into financial difficulty that has claimed many lives and collapsed many businesses.
