Shehu Sani Advises Joe Biden To Immediately Send Congratulatory Message To Tinubu

Shehu Sani, the former Senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th assembly has advised the US president, Joe Biden to immediately send a congratulatory message to the Nigerian president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Tinubu defeated his close rivals, Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party in a keenly contested presidential election that was held on Saturday February 25.

However, the outcome of the election which produced Tinubu as winner has been a major debate in the public as many people both within and outside the country described it as irregular.

International observers have also noted that the process was marred with irregularities. They accused INEC of not sticking to its initial promise of real time transmission of results through BVAS for subsequent upload on IREV.

Since the emergence of the former governor of Lagos as president- elect, Joe Biden has reportedly not issued an official statement to congratulate him.

Although the reason for his silence has not been disclosed, many Nigerians have attributed it to the irregularities believed to have marred the process.

Writing on his verified twitter handle on Tuesday, Shehu Sani advised the American president to congralute Tinubu immediately.

He wrote: “My advice to President Biden is  to immediately send a WhatsApp congratulatory message to the President elect the Jagaban. No matter the issues, he is the President elect. Biden can just do it on the WhatsApp disappearing message button just in case.”
