I Have Done Well In Fighting Corruption, Successive Govt. Should Sustain The Fight – Buhari

If there is one last wish president Muhammadu Buhari is asking for at the moment, it is the sustainance of his war against corruption campaign in Nigeria.

The president, who will be leaving the office by May 29, less than three months from now has insisted that he has done well in fighting corruption and wants successive governments to continue the fight from where he stops.

Buhari stated this on Thursday at a meeting with the management of the code of Conduct Tribunal at the state house. The CCT management was led by its chairman, Danladi Umar.

The president maintained that corruption has remained an existential threat to nations, while recognising the sacrifices made by the Code of Conduct Tribunal headed by its Chairman, Danladi Umar and other similar agencies, amidst the stiff economic and revenue shortages.

“It is our hope that the foundation which has been laid by this administration will be carried forward and continued, as the issue of corruption remains an existential threat to all nations,” Buhari said.
