MC Oluomo Denies Threatening Igbos In Lagos

In what may seem like damage control to some, popular chairman of Lagos State Parks and Garages (LASPG), Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo has officially come out to deny alleged threats to Igbos in Lagos State.

MC Oluomo, in a video, revealed that he was only joking with his neighbour, whose name is Uche and otherwise known as Iya Chukwudi at a parley on Thursday.

According to reports, the viral video showed the transport chief, urging his members to vote for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

MC in the video said: ” We have begged them. If they don’t want to vote for us, it doesn’t call for a fight. Iya Chukwudi, if you don’t want to vote for us, stay at home.”

MC has also described Iya Chukwudi as his sister and a good neighbour at that, stating that he has always been relating peacefully with the Igbos living and trading in the Oshodi area of Lagos state.

“At no point did I threaten anyone. We’ve enjoyed a long (&) harmonious relationship. Not at this point will I do that. I buy things regularly from Iya Chukwudi and was only joking with her.

“Mischief makers took our friendly conversation out of context just to label me as a bad person. Lagos State has been peaceful and we don’t pray for violence in our state,” MC said.

Another individual identified as Nwagbaraodia, who happened to have appeared in the same video, supported MC’s statement, adding that the transport chief didn’t threaten her.

Nwagbaraodia says that the transport chief always buys noodles and other goods from her and she further expressed utmost surprise that their friendly conversation was taken out of context.

“I thank God I’m now a celebrity. Little thing we joked with has now made me popular. It was my daughter that called my attention to it on social media.

“I and MC Oluomo have been friends for ages. My people, there’s no iota of truth in what people are sharing on social media. MC Oluomo is my good neighbour,” she concluded.
